Tropical Depression Seven

A tropical wave moved from Africa to the eastern Atlantic Ocean
on September 1st, accompanied by a low-level circulation
and a fairly-well organized area of deep convection. This
convection soon dissipated and the wave was disorganized for the
next several days while moving west-northwestward. On the
7th, it acquired enough organized convection to be
identified as Tropical Depression Seven. But the depression was
short-lived, as increasing vertical shear quickly caused its
dissipation on the 8th, while it was located about 850 n
mi southeast of Bermuda.
