Hotels and other lodging establishments provide overnight and longer-stay accommodations to hundreds of thousands of businessmen and women, family vacationers, and others each week. This is an industry that is always on-call, and that always delivers.

Comprised of over 60,000 separate establishments, the U.S. hotels and lodging industry employs more than 1.8 million people. Jobs include a variety of entry-level positions in the front-desk, rooms, and food and beverage divisions to mid-level supervisory and top management opportunities.

Many basic tasks can be learned in a short time, often through on-the-job training under the supervision of an experienced employee or manager while more senior positions will require formal education.

Convention hotels and motels, vacation resorts, residential and extended stay hotels, campgrounds - all could offer you interesting employment, a potential career ladder, and a future.
