More than 60 leading organizations have joined together to develop the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency with a goal to achieve all cost-effective energy efficiency by the year 2025.

Commitments

A key component of the National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency is stakeholders committing to take action to advance the Recommendations in their spheres of influence.

As of November 2007, over 90 public statements and commitments by 120 organizations have been made to advance energy efficiency under the National Action Plan. These stakeholders include over 30 utilities, 40 state and local agencies, and numerous large energy users, environmental groups, trade associations and others. These stakeholder statements are documented in the Public Statements & Commitments in Support of the Action Plan. For information on success of commitments to date, read the Commitments page.

In conjunction with the July 31, 2006 national release of the Action Plan, numerous organizations issued press releases demonstrating their support.
