  • On April 8, at a public meeting, the FCC adopted a far-reaching Notice of Inquiry that begins an open, participatory, public process to marshal the data and expertise needed to develop a national broadband strategy within one year
  • Testified at an oversight hearing concerning the broadband provisions of the Recovery Act before the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet
  • Established procedures for parties wishing to provide written or oral comments on the FCC's consultative role to the NTIA to meet the broadband provisions of the Recovery Act and so the FCC may meet the accountability provisions surrounding the Act's implementation
  • Participated in a series of public meetings in Washington, DC, Arizona, and Nevada being held by the NTIA and Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service to receive expert advice and public input on the broadband initiatives in the Recovery Act
