Companies interested in receiving subcontracts for Iraq, should note the following:
- Foreign firms are eligible to participate as subcontractors as USAID has waived existing U.S. government procurement restrictions to allow non-U.S. entities to bid on Iraqi reconstruction opportunities funded by the U.S. Government.
- Prime contractors will be able to award subcontracts to qualified U.S. and foreign companies. The latter category is not limited to those companies located in coalition partner countries.
- Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact the prime contractors directly not USAID.
- The prime contractors are not required to publicly advertise notices for these opportunities or to notify USAID of the subconstractors selected.
- Award notices are most useful for identifying contacts for future work.
