This 22-page booklet suggests steps to take to change eating and exercise habits for healthier living. A substitution list provides lowfat, healthier alternatives to traditional African American foods. Tips for choosing calcium-rich foods are offered for lactose-intolerant individuals.

 

Take Charge of Your Health! A Teenager's Guide to Better Health. 1999.

This 15-page booklet geared to teens describes why they should care about health, and discusses how to make small changes to improve eating and physical activity habits. It emphasizes making choices about health to feel and look better, having fun while being active, and staying healthy and fit for life.
