How to obtain Army Medical Department publications

Not all Army Medical Department publications are available on the Web. The links listed below contain the official versions of some Army Medical Department publications. They are in various formats; follow the instructions on each page or site in order to read or print the documents. You can use the extract of DA Pam 25-30 on the U.S. Army Publishing Directorate Web site to check the status of any DA-level item. Contact your local publications control officer if you have any questions.

  • Army Medical Department administrative publications (ARs, DA Cirs, DA Pams, and HQDA Letters) are maintained by the U.S. Army Publishing Directorate. External link (opens new browser window)
  • Army Medical Department doctrinal and training publications (FMs, TCs, ARTEPs/MTPs, and STPs) are available through the Army Doctrinal and Training Digital Library. External link (opens new browser window) (Available to AKO users.)
  • Army Medical Department technical bulletins, medical (TB MEDs) are maintained by the U.S. Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine. External link (opens new browser window)
  • Army Medical Department supply bulletins (SB 8-75 series) are available through the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency. Supply catalogs (SCs) and other types of technical publications (TMs and TBs) may eventually be available on this site, but at the present time you must obtain these publications through regular ordering procedures.

OTSG and MEDCOM publications (for Army Medical Department personnel only)

OTSG and MEDCOM internal publications and policy memorandums are available to registered users of Army Knowledge Online. AKO users should go to the "MACOMS" section, select "MEDCOM" and see the AMEDD publications section there to access these publications.

Textbook of Military Medicine (series)

Military medical personnel may contact the Borden Institute at (202) 782-4329, DSN 662-4329, or FAX (202) 782-7555 to obtain copies of these publications. The public may purchase this series from the Government Printing Office (GPO); GPO contact information is shown in the next paragraph.
