FNS - Women,
Infants and Children Program - has a mission to safeguard the health of
low-income women, infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to
supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care.
FNS Online - Child
Nutrition Programs - provide healthy, nutritious meals and snacks to the
nation’s children. Through the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, school children
have access to healthy meals. Through the Special Milk Program, school children who do not have access to
other meal programs can supplement their day with a serving of milk.
FNS Online -
Nutrition Assistance Programs - increases food security and reduces hunger
in partnership with cooperating organizations by providing children and low-income people access to food, a
healthful diet, and nutrition education in a manner that supports American agriculture and inspires public
confidence.
