  • DDT in the Water (audio): NPR affliliate KPCC's Ilsa Setziol reports on the Trustees' efforts to restore Southern California resources. The series included news about fish contamination, an update on DDTs in ocean sediments and EPA capping efforts, and news about MSRP efforts to reintroduce bald eagles to the northern Channel Islands.

  • September 15, 2004: Release of "Fishing Resources in Southern California," a fish identification card to help anglers identify the fish they catch to better understand fishing advisories in the Palos Verdes Shelf area. The card also includes important information on how to fish and cook in ways to reduce exposure to contaminants, as well as how to become involved in the Montrose Settlements Restoration Program.

2003

  • March 17, 2003: Announcement soliciting restoration ideas.
  • January 27, 2003: Two public workshops focusing on the review of the draft restoration program goals and objectives and the screening criteria developed to date, and discussion of appropriate restoration concepts for natural resource injuries involving recreational/subsistence fishing, and raptor/seabird injuries. Presentation.
