Program administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service that allows people of all ages and backgrounds to obtain help paying for education in exchange for a year of service.
American Association on Intellectual & Developmental Disability (AAIDD) Fellowships & Awards
Each year AAIDD honors selected individuals or groups who have made outstanding contributions to the field. Web site includes information on award guidelines, selection criteria and application deadlines.
American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) Scholarships
The AFB sponsors a number of scholarships each year. Most are designated for specific fields of study.

Blinded Veterans Association - Kathern F. Gruber Scholarship Awards
Spouses and dependent children of blinded veterans are eligible for assistance with higher education tuition. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit through an application process and evaluated by a committee. Awards are for one year but recipients can reapply and receive the award up to four times. The blinded veteran family member is not required to be a BVA member for the spouse or child to receive a scholarship. Contact a BVA field representive for maximum assistance.
CIA Undergraduate Scholarship Program
If you are a high school senior planning to enroll in a 4-or 5-year college program, or a college sophomore enrolled in a 4-or 5-year college program, looking for career experience in a dynamic environment, apply to the CIA's Undergraduate Scholar Program. Applications will be accepted from July 15 - November 1, 2009.
