Data Files
There are 247,964 records for 2002. More information on participation is
available in the states conducting
surveillance, by year table. The data files are provided in both
ASCII and SAS Transport formats. The October 10, 2003 update was to remove
the five family planning calculated variables pending further review of the
definitions. SMART BRFSS and
BRFSS GIS Maps data and documentation
are also available for this data year.
2002 BRFSS Data (ASCII)
Data Revised October 10, 2003
This file is in ASCII format. It has a fixed record length of 954
positions. |

2002 BRFSS Data (SAS Transport
Format)
CDBRFS02.XPT
This file was exported from SAS V8.2 in the XPT transport format.
This format can be imported directly into statistical programs such as
SPSS or STATA. Please note: some of the variable labels become truncated in
the process of converting to the XPT format so they may be slightly
different from what is on the SASOUT.SAS program or those in the SAS
dataset. |
