Webcast: DWSRF Planning for Potential Stimulus Funds
As you may be aware, it appears quite likely that an economic stimulus package will be enacted which may include additional appropriations for the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). The DWSRF Team will be holding a webcast on December 3rd. This webcast is being offered as a forum in which EPA and our State partners can begin to think through how best to prepare for effective management of the DWSRF program should stimulus appropriations be enacted. Please see the Drinking Water Academy’s Training Calendar for details. We will be discussing:
- Preparation of Intended Use Plans that reflect possible stimulus funding
- Use of set-asides to increase project readiness to proceed
- The potential role of disadvantaged community assistance programs
- The potential demand that could be expressed for DWSRF assistance from larger communities that would typically utilize the tax-exempt debt market but find current market conditions unattractive
- Steps that EPA could take to facilitate State efforts to quickly move larger volumes of assistance in shorter timeframes
- Maintaining rigorous accountability and program integrity
We want to promote success and efficiency through collaboration and information exchange and will structure the webcast accordingly. We look forward to hearing your ideas and suggestions and to sharing with you the thinking we have been doing.

The list does not, in any way, constitute an Agency endorsement of this training, but compiles it in one listing for easy access. This page will be updated quarterly, so links provided will go to actual course offerings and training summaries.
