Looking for an activity to do with your children? Why not help them become Junior Rangers at Morristown National Historical Park! The park's free Junior Ranger activity booklet is available at both the Morristown National Historical Park Visitor Center at Jockey Hollow and at Washington’s Headquarters. The booklet is designed for children 6 to 12 years old, and provides them with opportunities to learn about Morristown, New Jersey's role in the American Revolution, 18th-century military and civilian life, and park preservation and stewardship. Earning a Junior Ranger badge is an excellent activity for family, scout, and school groups. It also provides children with a memorable souvenir of the park. School and scout groups that plan to participate in the program should provide their members with pencils and call 973-539-2016 to make a reservation. | PDF File Available: To have a PDF version of Morristown NHP's Junior Ranger booklet e-mailed to you contact Anne DeGraaf at e-mail us. | Learn about Junior Ranger Programs at other National Park Service sites, visit www.nps.gov/learn/juniorranger.htm To become a National Park Service "Web Ranger", visit www.nps.gov/webrangers |

Did You Know?
“We reached this wilderness, about three miles from Morristown where we are building log huts for winter quarters. The snow on the ground is about two feet deep, and the weather extremely cold.” – Dr James Thacher, Continental Army Surgeon, 1779.
