The Office of Civil Rights (OCR) is committed to ensuring that BBG, one of the most diverse agencies in the federal government, incorporates diversity throughout its workforce. The Office advises management officials and employees on the federal laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines prohibiting employment discrimination.

The Office of Contracts plans, manages, develops, implements, executes, and administers simplified acquisitions and contracts in excess of $100,000 for supplies, services, construction, and other types of procurements for all parts of BBG, worldwide.

The Office of Engineering & Technical Operations is responsible for directing all the BBG’s engineering and technical activities, enabling BBG to deliver programs to its diverse global listening and viewing audience with the most effective and reliable multimedia broadcast systems.

The Office of Media Training and Development develops and manages a program to train future communications leaders from high-priority regions, providing them with journalistic skills and a philosophy that they can carry back and implement in their own countries.

The Policy Office is responsible for the daily Editorials reflecting the official views of the U.S. government. The Editorials help ensure fulfillment of the third requirement of the VOA Charter, which says that VOA “will present the policies of the United States clearly and effectively, and will also present responsible discussions and opinion on these policies.”
