CONSTRUCTION OF A ROAD NETWORK FOR THE NICOSIA - LIMASSOL HIGHWAY
The Ministry of Communications & Works, Department of Public Works invites bids for a road network involving the construction of a third lane on the Nicosia - Limassol highway of approximately 1.7 km in length. Moreover, the tender includes the construction of an underpass, bridges, and a new urban network east and west of the highway of approximately 2.2 km in length.

132KV GIS VASILIKOS SOUTH SUBSTATION AT NICOSIA
The Electricity Authority of Cyprus invites tenders for the establishment of a new 132/22-11kv substation at Vasilikos Power Station. The new GIS is to replace the existing 132kv "Vasilikos Banking Substation." The contract also includes design, construction, laying and termination of 132 kv cables between "Vasilikos Main" substation modification of GIS cable boxes and installation of a 4 new relay panels.

NICOSIA RING ROAD CONSTRUCTION
The Government of Cyprus (GOC), through its Ministry of Communications and Works (Public Works Department) is planning the construction of a new Nicosia ring road. This is a major infrastructure project aimed at easing the current traffic congestion. A four-lane, 32 km, ring road will connect the Nicosia-Limassol highway to the Nicosia-Troodos motorway, as well as, serve as an outlet for the secondary road network.
DAM DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
The Water Development Department (WDD) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and the Environment plans to release a tender in mid-2009 for the construction of a dam in the Solea valley. The tender is expected to require the dam to have a capacity of 4.5 million cubic meters of water. The purpose of the project is to provide water to the Solea valley, which surrounds the Linou-Flasou area and has had limited access to water for the last forty plus years. The Government expects to start construction of the dam by the end of 2009 and complete the project within the next 2.5 years. The estimated cost of the project is 22 million Euro (approximately USD 29 million depending on the currency exchange rates).
