The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland is headed by the United States Attorney, Rod J. Rosenstein, and First Assistant United States Attorney, Stuart M. Goldberg. They head an office of 70 Assistant United States Attorneys and 70 support personnel that includes the Civil, Criminal and Administrative Divisions.
The Civil Division, located in Baltimore, defends agencies of the United States when sued in court, prosecutes civil enforcement activities in a variety of fraud matters and collects debts owed to the United States.
The Criminal Division includes 40 prosecutors in Baltimore and 16 prosecutors in the Southern Division in Greenbelt.
