The United States Foreign Commercial Service (FCS) hosted the
seminar " Doing business with the US" on February 25 to educate
Salvadoran companies about its services that facilitate trade
between the U.S. and El Salvador.
At the seminar, the FCS promoted its programs for: finding
distributors and providers of services and equipment; trade shows
in the U.S.; its magazine 'Commercial News USA' as well as a
variety of other programs. Additional speakers provided
information on import regulations and explain the necessary
procedures and documentation to benefit from CAFTA, highlight
financial products for Salvadoran importers, and give details on
the visa application process.
The American Chamber of Commerce, the Salvadoran Customs
Authority, HSBC Bank, and the Consular Section of the U.S.
Embassy also participated at the event. The event included
testimonials of Salvadoran companies that have already used FCS’s
services to succeed in their businesses. The event was
co-sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce, Delta Airlines,
HSBC Bank, and American Airlines.
