As part of the United States Department of Commerce, the U.S. Commercial Service promotes the export of American-made goods and services, and protects and defends American business interests overseas. With more than 100 U.S. Export Assistance Centers across the United States, and Commercial Sections in U.S. Embassies, Consulates and Trade Centers around the world, the U.S. Commercial Service offers a unique and valuable service to U.S. companies seeking to enhance their growth and competitiveness through export.

We are located in San Jose - the third-most populous city in California. Our office is a small, high-activity center with a staff of highly experienced trade specialists, led by our director, Joanne Vliet. We serve the highly diverse and multi-cultural business community of Silicon Valley.
