applications, provides information regarding payment options and downloadable forms for you to complete prior to your scheduled Visa appointment.

New visa appointment rules was introduced on February 2, 2006

Effective February 2, 2006, the new Visa Information Service (VIS) call center will be the only authorized method of scheduling an interview for a non-immigrant visa at a U.S. Consulate General in South Africa. The VIS call center also will be the only authorized telephonic source of official information on non-immigrant U.S. visas.

*Please note that due to the Consulate being inundated with Visa applications you need to apply at least a month (30 days) in advance or you might not get an appointment.
