Trade Finance Guide 2007
We've developed the TFG to help U.S. exporters - specifically
small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) - gain practical
knowledge of trade finance. The TFG, which was released at Ex-Im
Bank's Annual Conference in April 2007, makes a complicated topic
easy to understand and helps SMEs learn how to manage the risks
associated with doing business overseas. More specifically, the
TFG is designed to help SMEs learn quickly the fundamentals of
trade finance to turn their export opportunities into actual
sales and to achieve the ultimate goal: to get paid for their
export sales. Eleven concise, two-page chapters offer the basics
of numerous financing techniques, from open accounts, to export
credit insurance, to government assisted foreign buyer financing.
