May 7-8, 2009: U.S. Nigerian Trade and Investment
Forum-Chicago
The Continental Africa Chamber of Commerce, U.S.A., in
cooperation with the Nigerian Association of Public
Professionals, Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic
Opportunity Office of Trade & Investment and the Cook County
Planning and Development Department will conduct a business forum
for a Nigerian delegation Thursday May 7, 2009. The areas of
business interest is: information technology and communications,
food and beverage, fast food equipment and management, integrated
logistics/transportation, real estate and construction,
agriculture/agro allied, securities services, financial services
and insurance, barcode labeling and fact finding equipment. The
forum will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the State of

The Study Illinois international education consortium will host
its sixth annual conference on attracting international students
to Illinois. Almost 29,000 international students currently study
in Illinois, contributing more than $700 million annually to the
state's economy. Our featured speakers will be U.S. State
Department-affiliated overseas education advisers from Columbia,
Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Pakistan, and Russia. They
will speak on the latest higher education trends in their home
countries and what students there are looking for in a study
abroad experience. Following the formal program, participants
will have the opportunity to network with the advisors as well as
