The U.S. Commercial Service Greece offers internship opportunities throughout the year. The internship provides college/university students in the fields of international affairs, business administration or related sectors "hands-on" experience working in the Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy.

What Commercial Service is doing

The U.S. Commercial Service assists U.S. companies entering the Greek market and helps Greek firms in their efforts to profit from their alliances with American companies either by representing American manufacturers, utilizing American products, or through joint venture arrangements. To support these objectives, the office analyses information on the Greek market, facilitates contacts with Greek businesses, promotes U.S. products in the Greek marketplace, and advocates U.S. business interests.

Interns assist Trade specialists by:

  • Conducting market research
  • Assisting companies seeking information
  • Assisting to organize Trade Missions
  • Organization of and participation in commercial events
  • Administrative work

Who is eligible

  • Enrollment in a school
  • Fluency in Greek and English language
  • Availability for at least 5 months (Mon-Fri, 24hrs per week)
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Preferably Senior Year

Students of business, international relations, economics and languages will benefit most from an internship at the U.S. Commercial Service.
