Why participate?

Colombia is the fifth largest market for U.S. exports in the Americas, after Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, and Chile, and is ranked 29th as a market for U.S. exports globally. In recent years, Colombia has become one of the most stable economies in the region.

On November 22, 2006, the United States and Colombia signed a bilateral trade agreement, the U.S. – CTPA, which is awaiting Congressional approval. Under the U.S. - CTPA, over 80 percent of U.S. exports of consumer and industrial products to Colombia will be duty-free immediately upon entry into force of the Agreement, with remaining tariffs phased out over ten years.  Start exploring the Colombian market today!
