Junior Firefighter Program

There is a Junior Firefighter program at both Lassen Volcanic National Park and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area in California. At these National Park Sites, children can go through an hour-long session with fire crews and find out what it takes to be a wildland firefighter. Upon completion of the Junior Firefighter program, each student receives a special patch for their participation.
