Sensitive Birds Alert Scientists to New Threat – this front page article published in May 27 issue of Oregonian (Portland) presents research on tracking chemicals in Columbia River osprey, conducted by a team of USGS researchers from the USGS Rangeland Ecosystems Science Center (FRESC) in Corvallis, and its broad environmental implications. The research has been led by Dr. Chuck Henny, who has a long-term research interest with Osprey.
