Emergency Preparedness

Emergency PreparednessThe focus of emergency preparedness research programs is to develop and apply new and existing methodologies and technologies to assist emergency managers, planners, and responders in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from technological or natural disasters. We use interdisciplinary knowledge to develop and implement new methods for systems-based emergency planning, training, and exercising. Our multidisciplinary team includes experts in computer science and engineering; economics, history, and geography; law; environmental science; physical sciences; public health; behavior and social sciences; political science; and journalism and communication.
