Although most people don't think of it as such, in many respects the FBI is a business. We have over 30,000 employees, a budget in excess of $6 billion, and more than 700 locations worldwide. Managing this organization requires business management professionals who specialize in everything from human resources to finance to facilities management to law. Because of some of the unique aspects of our “business,” we also employ many business management professionals in fields such as security and records management.
At the FBI, business management professionals have the opportunity to utilize their skills to help protect the country. Our business management professionals provide the resources, infrastructure, and services we need to be able to succeed in our mission.
Business management professionals work in every
FBI Headquarters Division and every
FBI Field Office. Several FBIHQ Divisions are almost entirely composed of business management professionals, including the
Administrative Services Division, the
Facilities & Logistics Services Division, the
Finance Division, the
Office of the General Counsel, the
Records Management Division, the
Security Division, and the
Training & Development Division.
