Administrators, field officials, and industry representatives must all be aware of newly added requirements that have just gone into effect and requirements with fast approaching effective dates. WMD has prepared two tables to assist you in quickly identifying those requirements. The first table, titled "NIST Handbook 44 Codes (With Approaching Retroactive and Nonretroactive Enforcement Dates)" includes existing NIST Handbook 44 requirements that have approaching retroactive or nonretroactive enforcement dates. The second table, titled "NIST Handbook 44 Codes Newly Adopted or Recently Modified (Applicable to All Equipment Effective January 1, 2009)" includes NIST Handbook 44 requirements that are either new or were recently modified and are enforceable on January 1, 2009.
