Department of Justice Issues report titled "Improving the Grant Management Process"

Grant Oversight and Fraud Prevention: The Department of Justice Office of Inspector General recently issued a report Improving the Grant Management Process that includes ideas and practices that grant agencies should consider adopting to minimize opportunities for waste, fraud and abuse in awarding and overseeing grants. The report contains practices for the short term (within 30 days), the medium term (within 1 year) and the long term (over 1 year). Topics covered include the award process, monitoring, and training.
