Mission:

The primary mission for the Special Response Team (SRT) is the preservation of life and property under conditions requiring other than routine law enforcement techniques. SRT achieves these goals through the utilization of Deputy U.S. Marshals with specialized tactical training and equipment to handle situations and/or duties that have been identified as beyond the normal scope of routine law enforcement duties.

Training:

Members of the Special Response Team are required to undergo numerous hours of training in a variety of law enforcement techniques and situations.
