The introduction into circulation for the Series 2006 $5 note on March 13, 2008 was the fourth denomination to be redesigned in the “New Color of Money” series.

Join in the commemoration of the 200th Anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth by participating in the $5 Lincoln Freedom Collection Subscription Program. Limited to 2,000 sets worldwide, this subscription collection features one $5 note from each of the 12 Federal Reserve Banks with the LOWEST SERIAL NUMBERS available. Each of the colorful Series 2006 $5 notes offered in this collection was one of the first 3,500 redesigned "New Color of Money" notes issued from each Federal Reserve Bank. Each note is protected by a clear, acid-free, polymer sleeve in an attractive folder representative of the corresponding Federal Reserve District.

Guarantee receipt of all 12 notes (non-matching serial numbers) in the “$5 Lincoln Freedom Collection” by subscribing during our pre-release period (April 27, 2009 – May 14, 2009).

The BEP will release all 12 Federal Reserve banknotes in three installments, beginning with Cleveland, Boston, New York and Dallas on May 15, 2009. The second installment will feature the Federal Reserve Banks of Philadelphia, St. Louis, Kansas City and San Francisco on August 5, 2009. The third and final installment will be released on September 1, 2009 and include the Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, and Minneapolis districts.

Own a part of our currency’s history by purchasing the entire collection at the subscription price of $299.40, a savings of $60.00 off the cost of all 12 notes if purchased individually.

Notes will be available for purchase individually, by Bank, at a price of $29.95 per note upon the first day of sale for each installment, while supplies last.

There will be a limit of 10 sets per household for the entire collection during the subscription period of April 27, 2009 – May 14, 2009.
