ASME codes and standards are developed by technical committees, each comprised of experts who represent the various facets of a given industry, such as manufacturers, installers, insurers, inspectors, end users, distributors, and regulatory agencies. Currently, over 3700 technical experts work with ASME in publishing over 500 codes and standards.
ASME recognizes the unique needs of global industries, and encourages participation in our standards development process regardless of nationality. It is our goal to develop standards that serve industry as thoroughly and rapidly as possible, without unnecessary political barriers.
