Mr.
(Gerald) and Mrs. (Christina) Emerson of Chimes, Arkansas have been
cooperative observers for the National Weather Service for 25 years. They
have measured precipitation daily and mailed their measurements to the
National Weather Service at the end of each month. These measurements
are sent to the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, North Carolina
and eventually published to become a part of the permanent record of the
world's weather. For
their efforts, the Emersons received a 25 Year Length-of-Service Award on
June 28, 2007. |
