ESI recognizes that a stable
stream channel involves a balance
of morphological features and the
interconnected, surrounding
riparian ecosystem.
The ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, INC., (ESI)
team is uniquely qualified in providing turnkey
stream assessment, design, construction, and
monitoring services. We are leaders in stream
and wetland restoration
using natural channel
design and biological
stabilization techniques.
With expertise in fluvial
geomorphology, sediment
transport analysis, bioengineering, biology, and
environmental science, our team is well prepared to
complete the most challenging urban or rural Water And Riverine Systems projects.
ESI has extensive experience with successfully restoring
streams in urban watersheds. Restoration of urban
streams requires innovative and unique approaches to
natural channel design. Our experience in both urban
and rural settings assures achieving a restoration design
that improves riparian and aquatic biodiversity and
enhances aesthetics while managing storm water and
improving water quality.
ESI employs a powerful landscape modeling approach
to ensure successful restoration of the riparian habitat. Riparian habitat restoration can be successful only
when the species planted are appropriate for the
combination of soil and site conditions. The landscape
models, developed by Dr. Steve Jones, predict the
plant species composition
of the associated upland,
bottomland, or wetland
riparian community.
ESI offers an experienced
construction team with trained operators. Our ability
to provide design-build services
results in a superior product at a
reasonable cost.When required,
ESI has the capability to prepare
construction drawings for bid.
ESI has a unique understanding
of soil bioengineering. As a retail
supplier and installer of erosion
control blankets, coirmats, and
plant material, we recognize the importance of properly
specifying products to maximize performance. All of
our materials are supplied from our warehouse inventory
in Atlanta.
