The
GeoGraphics Department at Environmental
Services, Inc. (ESI) offers a broad range
of services to compliment ESI’s successful
environmental and cultural resource operations.
We support these divisions using Geographic
Information System (GIS), Computer Aided
Design (CAD), and Global Positioning System
(GPS) technologies for field data collection,
technical design, spatial analysis, and
cartographic/thematic graphic production.
Environmental
Services Inc. has extensive capabilities
for obtaining and developing natural resource
spatial data, generating detailed figures
and drawings, and using GIS functionality
to provide graphics analysis. The GeoGraphics
Department includes professionals with diverse
backgrounds in forestry, biogeography/ecology,
archeology, urban and conservation planning,
quantitative and impact analysis, surveying,
and infrastructure design. We regularly
provide support using specialized skill
sets including needs assessment, aerial
interpretation, digitizing, modeling, and
various spatial analysis applications. In
addition, ESI deploys the latest GPS mobile
hardware technologies and field data collection
management solutions.

Conservation Easement Habitat Assessment
and Monitoring |
ESI holds a statewide
contract with Florida Department of Environmental
Protection (FDEP) to perform habitat assessments
of properties held under conservation easements
and Land Protection Agreements. Baseline
documentation encompasses the environmental
and land use assessments that allow FDEP
to understand the nature of each site as
well as any outstanding assets or potential
liabilities associated with the property.
Annual monitoring events evaluate any changes
in the site. Easements are generally placed
