National Volunteer Week - April 19-25, 2009
  • The Earth Team has been around since 1981, when Congress passed legislation allowing NRCS to use volunteers in all programs.
  • In 2008, more than 30,000 Earth Team Volunteers donated more than 800,000 hours of their time to conservation practices.
  • Total value of volunteer time in 2008 was over $15 million.
