Applications Submitted for the August 17, 2007, Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA): Please be patient as we finish the review of these applications. We expect to announce finalists soon. Applicants under the 2007 NOFA may request consideration under the 2008 NOFA without submitting a new application package. Our Grant Programs High Energy Cost Grants (CFDA 10.859) are available for improving and providing energy generation, transmission and distribution facilities serving communities with average home energy costs exceeding 275% of the national average. Grant funds may be used for on-grid and off-grid renewable energy projects, energy efficiency and energy conservation projects serving eligible communities. We accept applications for competitive grant awards only during the application period announced in a published Notice of Funding Availability.
Denali Commission High Energy Cost Grants (CFDA 10.857) are made to the Denali Commission for energy generation, transmission, and distribution facilities serving rural Alaskan communities with average home costs exceeding 275% of the national average. State Bulk Fuel Revolving Fund Grants (CFDA 10.858) are made to state government entities to establish and support revolving funds to provide a more cost-effective means of purchasing fuel for remote communities that are not served by surface transportation year round.
