tour of the Hooper Strait Lighthouse, a fully restored 1879 cottage-style
lighthouse. Pull up a crab pot, nipper for oysters, and experience
the work of a Chesapeake waterman at Watermans Wharf. The
Museums 18-acre waterfront campus is yours to explore with
unlimited free admission for members.

As a member you receive discounts on our interactive programs. From
cruising or sailing the Miles River, to family concerts, to our
Apprentice for a Day program, where you can help handcraft a traditional
rowing skiff, learning the techniques from a shipwright at the Museums
Boat Yard.
Empower Preservation
Your
membership makes important preservation work possible. At the working
Boat Yard you will see the restoration of Chesapeake Bay skipjacksthe
countrys last commercial sailing fishing fleet. Watch as each
skipjack is pulled out of the water onto our marine railway, and
talk with the shipwrights and the captain as the boats are restored
to return to dredging for oysters.

Museum members have a members-only express line at special events
such as the Museum's Bay Day in April, the popular Antique and Classic
Boat Festival in June, and our Chesapeake Folk Festival in July.
