Giving to CBMM
Charitable gifts from members, businesses and foundations
underwrite everything we do at CBMM
- from acquisition and preservation of the Museum's collections
of boats and Bay objects
- to funding apprentices in the Boat Yard
- to providing innovative educational programs for children and
adults that focus on the interrelationship of the Chesapeake Bay
and the people who live, work and recreate on her watershed.
The Museum encourages gifts from its members and others who
love the Bay through a variety of means.
The Annual FundGive
Now!
Annual Fund dollars support our annual operating budget and
the Museum's annual program of member and visitor services.
Whether it's to help re-launch a refurbished and revitalized historic
vessel like Old Point or to supply varnish for the hull of
a newly crafted skiff as part of the Apprentice for a Day program,
your donation to the Annual Fund goes to work right away.
This year our Annual Fund goal is $500,000, a vital 12.8% of
our annual operating budget. A full 100% of these funds go directly
into programs and services that enhance the Chesapeake experience
for our members and visitors.
Your gift to the Annual Fund ensures that we're able to develop
innovative festivals like the Chesapeake Folk Festival, and to bring
quality Chesapeake Bay educational programming to all.
