Youth and Family Programs

Community Sailing Program - Sailing is a wonderful way to explore Bay waters and learn maritime skills.

Lighthouse Overnight Program - Did you ever wonder what it's like to live in a lighthouse, standing watch for mariners in trouble? At the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, bring along your sleeping bag and find out in our historic Hooper Strait lighthouse. Register Online

Kids Club - Kids Club is a half day long program that runs for three weeks during the summer where children not only learn about the bay but experience things for themselves. It is a hands-on learning "club" where kids explore the inside of a skipjack, go nippering for oysters on Waterman's Wharf, go chicken-necking to catch their first crab, and much more.

Saturdays for Kids - The Saturdays for Kids program is designed for children ages four through nine and offers two hours of fun-filled and challenging hands-on games, arts and crafts, and storytelling Saturday mornings throughout the year.
