Mission Statement
The Northern Border Caucus (NBC) is a bi-partisan working group of Members of Congress who seek an open forum to address issues affecting states which border Canada. Founded in 1994, the Northern Border Caucus is the oldest and largest Congressional Member Organization dealing with the U.S.-Canada relationship. The Caucus highlights policy concerns and issues affecting the economic, cultural, and political partnership between the United States and Canada. The NBC currently has over 50 members and is led by Representative Bart Stupak (D-MI) and Representative John McHugh (R-NY).
