FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

For the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), DARPA is a component of the Office of the Secretary of Defense. All FOIA requests for DARPA information must be submitted to the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Office of Freedom of Information. Requests that are submitted directly to DARPA will be re-routed to the Office of Freedom of Information and responses may be delayed.

FOIA requests can be submitted in writing to the Office of Freedom of Information or electronically.

Directions on how to submit an electronic FOIA request are available online, along with additional information on the Office of Freedom of Information’s FOIA program.

Written requests should be sent to: Office of Freedom of Information, 1155 Defense Pentagon, Washington, D.C., 20301-1155. Their phone number is (703) 696-4689.
