Molecular Libraries and Imaging Roadmap Program

Overview

The program provides infrastructure support and coordination for the NIH Roadmap Molecular Libraries Probe Production Centers Network and for related technology development projects. The program supports research on biological assay implementation, high throughput screening (HTS) to identify active compounds, synthetic chemistry and probe development, and informatics.

See Molecular Libraries Probe Production Centers Network (MLPCN) (U54) - Limited Competition

PAR-08-035 and PAR-08-034, Solicitation of Assays for High Throughput Screening (HTS) in the Molecular Libraries Probe Production Centers Network (MLPCN)

This FOA promotes discovery and development of new chemical probes as research tools for use by scientists in both the public and private sector to advance the understanding of biological functions and disease mechanisms. This initiative is one of the integrated components of the NIH Molecular Libraries Roadmap initiative that offers biomedical researchers access to large-scale automated high throughput screening (HTS) centers in the Molecular Libraries Probe Production Centers Network (MLPCN), diverse compound libraries in the Small Molecule Repository (MLSMR) and information on biological activities of small molecules in the PubChem BioAssay public database. The purpose of this FOA is to solicit HTS assays from the scientific community by identifying investigators who have the interest and capability to work with the molecular libraries screening centers in support of chemical probe development.
