- In its simplest terms, remanufacturing is the process of returning a used, worn out engine to as close to new as possible. The engine is completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected, remachined, reassembled and tested to insure functional quality.
- The integrity of the basic “core” parts are closely inspected and checked against the original equipment manufacturer's specifications. They are remachined to bring them back to specification to return to the remanufactured core to original equipment tolerances.
- Wearable parts such as bearing, rings, pistons and gaskets are automatically replaced. The completed engine is tested for compliance to OEM standards.
FPI’s nationwide vehicular component remanufacturing facilities rebuild a wide array of components, engines, forklifts, starters, alternators, regulators, and generators.
FPI has been providing remanufacturing services to the federal government since the mid-eighties. Our departmental/agency customer list is wide ranging.
Our trained technical specialists at our nationwide facilities will take your vehicle components, engines, electrical equipment, forklifts, complete vehicle platform, or any other equipment that can be rebuilt or remanufactured and return them to you in like new condition at a fraction of the replacement cost.
FPI operates facilities throughout the country, comprising just under a million square feet of factory and warehouse space. The size of our operations, combined with over 3,000 skilled workers means that no job is too big or too small.
Many individuals at FPI facilities are ASE certified and most facilities are
