The QuickClassification (QC) Production System is Live!
The QuickClassification Production system was released on October 1st for use by the NIH Human Capital Group (HCG) staff. The QuickClassification system is a web-based position description and job classification system that is easy to learn and use. QuickClassification serves as a tool to assist in streamlining the classification process. The system contains a library of standard position descriptions (PDs), an archive that houses all PDs, and a PD builder where new PDs can be created with the content that is available in the system.
- How Will This Affect the NIH HCG Staff?
- New Passwords! QuickClassification passwords have been reset to the users’ initials and the last four digits of the users’ social security number. For example: for user John B. Smith with SSN 123-45-6789, the password will be JBS6789. If you do not have a middle name an “X” will be used as your middle initial.
- Usernames will remain the same. If users would like to change their password once it is sent to them, they must submit a WiTS ticket.
- NOTE: Users will not be able to use the old password (QCPILOT) to access the production system once it has gone live.
- The URL Has Changed! For those who access QuickClassification via a bookmark, they will need to change that bookmark to https://hr.quickhire.com/hhsqc/. Others who access through the web will be automatically directed to the new URL and the transition will be seamless.
QuickClassification Facts
- QuickClassification will expedite the classification process by allowing users to select, create, copy, edit, and share PDs. As a result, HR Specialists will be able to focus more on position management and consulting with managers.
- The QuickClassification database contains a variety of occupational series.
- The Policy document on the use of the OF-8 in QuickClassification has been developed. Please refer to the QC Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) when creating an OF-8 in the system.
If you have any questions about access to the QC system, please contact HR Systems Support through WiTS, by phone at 301-451-1436 or by e-mail at hrsystemssupport@od.nih.gov, Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
