Differential rearing effects on neural activation associated with the development of behavioral inhibition - collaboration with Dr. Mike Davis at Emory University.
Neural and Endocrine Covariates of Differential Rearing History in maturing Macaca mulatta
Pharmacological validation of fear-potentiated startle and prepulse inhibition in rhesus macaque.
Social cognition in differentially reared monkeys.
Ongoing Projects:
Persistent alterations in neural and behavioral systems associated with chronic fluoxetine administration in adolescence. An inter-institute collaborative project with�Drs. Daniel Pine, Husseini Manji and Jay Giedd (NIMH), Dr. Stephen Suomi (NICHD), and Dr. John D. Higley (NIAAA).
Developmental Studies of Rhesus monkey brain development using in vivo scanning. Collaborative project with Drs. Giedd and Lenroot (NIMH) amd Dr. Steve Suomi (NICHD).
Social cognition in differentially reared monkeys�using eye-tracking technology�.� Collaborative project with Drs. Pine, Nelson, Ernst (NIMH, MAP).
Role of gonadal steroids at puberty in the development of orbital and medial prefrontal cortex of male rhesus macaques. Collaboration with Dr. Cynthia Shannon-Wieckert (NIMH, CBDB).
Anxiolytic properties of antalaramin in monkeys. Collaborative project with Drs. Manji (NIMH, MAP) and John D. Higley (NIAAA).
Projects Under Consideration:
Potential for development of transgenic models in marmoset monkeys. Collaborative Project with Drs. Pickel�(NIMH IRP Transgenic Core) and�Jingshan�Chen�(NIMH CBDB).�
