NIH Visiting Program: Travel
The payment of travel expenses (airfare or equivalent only) for Visiting Scientists is at the discretion of the sponsoring Institute and is subject to availability of funds. Although Visiting Fellows are usually not reimbursed for travel expenses, an exception can be made subject to approval by the Deputy Director for Intramural Research, Office of the Director, NIH. The NIH does not pay any other travel expenses such as dependents' travel, excess baggage, or the cost of transporting household goods.
