If you're having problems with Cocoalicious crashing, upgrade to b46, which I somehow neglected to post: http://is.gd/hLY6 (thx @tigerstraw)
Some twisted OXO product designer must be relishing the irony of packaging a pair of scissors in that indestructible blister pack right now.
The taste of wood-fired pesto pizza instantly transports me, Proust-style, from the streets of New York to the Apple cafeteria circa-2003.
@jack That thought reminded me of this Swisscom research into how people use various communication "channels": http://bitly.com/aYl7
Helping a friend think up a new app name by iterating suffixes. The SNL "makin' copies" guy should have been a Web 2.0 naming consultant.
Enjoyed Springsteen's song in "The Wrestler." If you're making a depressing movie about the mid-Atlantic, he's pretty much your go-to guy.
Watching "The Aviator." The perfectionist in me always appreciates the story of Howard Hughes' protracted filming of "Hell's Angels."
Congrats to @luke0x and the rest on the rebirth of Muxtape (and nice work getting Girl Talk and Of Montreal on board). http://bit.ly/ZWCR
One more thought about retweeting: the purpose it serves would be better served by a more prominent treatment of favorites in Twitter's UI.
My theory: everyone's idea of Twitter lies along a continuum with "ambient intimacy system" at one end and "broadcast medium" at the other.
I had resolved to lay off the anti-retweeting talk, but, since it's come up again and this is too good: http://bit.ly/13Q3l
@nkallen I actually had to check to see if you were kidding because of this: http://bit.ly/MAnr
Restaurant concept: A Tale of Two Cities. Split British/French menu, attached speakeasy called Madam Defarge's serving gin and punch drinks.
For some reason I never noticed that most of the musical score in "Kill Bill" is a variation on "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)." Awesome.
Having a bacon-wrapped Tsunami dog at Crif Dogs while waiting for a table at PDT. http://twitpic.com/16gfq
Just implemented what must surely be the coolest character counter ever designed. Mad props to @nevenmrgan.
"Their only form of conversation is to quote each other..." If you wonder why I tend to dislike retweeting, read this: http://is.gd/gCyv
My Dopplr personal annual report for 2008 says I spent 224 days at home, 142 traveling (and that's not counting lots of weekend trips).
Cocktail experiment: Basil Hayden Bourbon, Benedictine, Meyer lemon juice, Lagavulin rinse: http://is.gd/gEW4 Pretty pleased with it.
Five delicious champagne opportunities, which are not to be ignored: http://is.gd/gEQB
