It has been my great honor to serve the residents of the Fifth Congressional District of Kentucky over the last twenty-five years.
All across southern and eastern Kentucky, the pioneer spirit that brought our ancestors to the region, now drives us to work together to make a better way of life. Thanks to the marvels of technology, most of our towns along five of Kentucky’s rivers are now protected from flooding, major highways criss-cross our region, and an ultra-modern twin highway tunnel moves traffic under Boone’s Cumberland Gap.
The Center for Rural Development in Somerset has electronically linked all of our communities – from Lawrence to Wayne Counties and everywhere in between – via two-way teleconferencing centers. We are taking PRIDE in Kentucky by cleaning up our environment, which is critical to keeping our people healthy, and attracting the businesses, tourists, retirees, and jobs we so desperately need. We are also UNITING together to remove the darkness that illegal drugs have cast over our region.
This section of my website will bring you up-to-date on a few of the issues that are carrying us down the road to a better way of life. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance to you or your family. I am proud to serve you in the United States Congress.
