BUCHANAN OPPOSES LARGEST SPENDING BILL IN HISTORY CALLS FOR TAX RELIEF AND TRANSPORTATION FUNDING TO BOOST ECONOMY NOW

Congressman Vern Buchanan (FL-13) voted today against the proposed $825 billion economic stimulus package saying it would dramatically increase the national debt but do little to immediately boost the economy. 
“There is nothing more important than rebuilding our economy and creating jobs,” said Buchanan.  “But the bill before us would explode the debt while doing little to jump-start the economy and put people back to work.”
